Opening Day! Mia was always so excited when Christmas came around. Not that she necessarily knew about the holiday, but she certainly knew there were gifts waiting for her under the tree. I can only assume that her super canine olfactory senses told her there was some delicious treat hiding inside the festive wrapping. She would often be caught sniffing her presents, as well as sitting and staring at them. This particular Christmas day picture was the first Christmas we spent in our Kingston home. Closing on the house happened just two days before, so there wasn’t much going on in the way of decorations. Nevertheless, Mia knew there was something good hidden inside those packages piled in the corner of our new living room.
