Unleashed

1901261526 – This picture was taken at the old Twin Valley Middle School in Wilmington, VT. This was a place we visited frequently on our walks while living in Wilmington. Although this property no longer functioned as a school, the city still utilized the sports fields and the buildings were beginning to be used for various business entities and other purposes. Nonetheless, it felt like a wide open, deserted playground where Mia could run off leash and free. She took complete advantage and often had me chasing her frantically as she neared the outer boundaries. This included “Beaver Creek,” home to more than just a beaver or two. Mia knew they were there because we would see them regularly swimming and splashing about, and like most canines, she could not resist the urge to chase them. I’m certain the outcome would not be good. Fortunately we never found out but not for a lack of trying on Mia’s part.
