Access Granted

1811171758 – Mia had a way of getting into places of business. She would approach any building that had people and attempt to interact with them, including make a casual attempt at access. Of course she was reasonably restrained by the leash but I would definitely let her push the boundaries. Most would take the bait and give her the attention she thrived on. Reactions ranged from a shower of love to a cautious hello. Rarely, but definitely part of the experience, were those that simply did not give her so much as an acknowledging glance, to those that physically or verbally expressed their discontent with her proximity to them. I always felt bad for her when people didn’t say hello – she seemed so disappointed by it. Nonetheless, her interactions were mostly pleasant and often super happy and uplifting for her and I. Walking with Mia through the years, having witnessed the love and friendship people showed her, was truly a life enriching time. My Baby Girl gave and received so much love – a joyful and happy spirit.

This picture shows Mia waiting for a treat from her favorite people at the Red Fox Shop in Wilmington, VT. Mia loved Story and Gail and Story and Gail loved her and always showered her with love and treats.
