1605201912 – Over the years and throughout the different areas we lived and walked, Mia inevitably became a local celebrity of sorts. She always happily greeted people she encountered and remembered well all those that were kind to her. Often times we walked through areas with various shops and restaurants and Mia would quickly learn where to go to get a tasty treat or a loving welcome. When we lived in Brattleboro, the local pet store pictured here was the source of her food, treats, toys and gear – so she knew very well what was behind those doors. This particular day we happen to pass by just after they had closed shop for the day. This was a common at many of her favorite spots. As you can see, and despite the clear sign the “One Stop Country Pet Supply” was closed for the day, Mia was not deterred. She had spotted someone inside and went to work employing her natural talent and canine cuteness to get what she wanted. She learned early on, by staring at people long enough they might eventually pay attention to her and even open a locked door. After some time – success! Her persistence paid off, once again demonstrating the rewards that come to those who put in the time and effort.
