1511261347 – On this Thanksgiving day, 2022, I am recalling all that I have to be thankful for – and I have a lot. My Wife. My Family. My Friends. My Health. My Job. My home. Food on the table. Heat for our home. Hope and Prayer. GOD and Country. We all have something to be thankful for, and today is the day we set aside to recognize those things and hopefully realize that we should never take them for granted. I have come to realize that at any time in life, things can always be better or they can be worse in that moment, or for a time. We all have our triumphs and our failures. Our times of great joy and our times of great sadness. All of those times add up to a life that has meaning because those things shape who we are.
On this day I remember all my loved ones that are no longer with us, and I give thanks for having them in my life. Equally important, I recognize and am thankful for their contribution in leaving me with a more intense appreciation for those that are still with me in this life. I realize and I am thankful. No matter the circumstances, perspective is very important.
